Fun Fact

I enjoy connecting with individuals while out in the community. Mostly while singing karaoke or attending concerts. Music is a universal language that empowers, inspires, encourages, and uplifts.

Past Experience

Achievements: I have furthered my education by attending vocational programs, I am a mother a small business owner and a wife for nearly twenty years. I currently have my CNA license and have previously held two security clearances Responsibilities: Working with the public is something I’ve always been good at. I’ve held positions within the prisons as a correctional officer, RTD, CDC, and military. Community outreach programs within my past career roles gave me insight into what people need. Skills: I’m surrounded by the beautiful souls that make up my community. I’ve never met a stranger… I want to help make a difference. I’m a survivor and always eager to learn new things.

My Top Issues

After school programs

I unequivocally maintain that every child has an inherent right to receive a free education, and thus, should never be left behind.

Healthy living educational programs

Mental health awareness is an integral component of better living and it begins with our youth

Charter schools

I also believe that parents of school-aged children are entitled to be informed about their child's treatment, progress, and needs, and to have access to additional resources as necessary. Given my experience as a parent of a school-age child with special needs in the Aurora school district, as well as having a child graduate from the Cherry Creek school district, I am confident in my ability to facilitate a balance between students' needs and the information provided to parents. By working together to overcome obstacles, I firmly believe that all educators and administrators should always be treated with respect and dignity in order to achieve excellence. I wholeheartedly support paths that guide us in this direction.
